83:1
|
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ |
| Woe to those that deal in fraud,- | |
|
83:2
|
الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ |
| Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, | |
|
83:3
|
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ |
| But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. | |
|
83:4
|
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ |
| Do they not think that they will be called to account?- | |
|
83:5
|
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ |
| On a Mighty Day, | |
|
83:6
|
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds? | |
|
83:7
|
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ |
| Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin. | |
|
83:8
|
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ |
| And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is? | |
|
83:9
|
كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ |
| (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed. | |
|
83:10
|
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Woe, that Day, to those that deny- | |
|
83:11
|
الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ |
| Those that deny the Day of Judgment. | |
|
83:12
|
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ |
| And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner! | |
|
83:13
|
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!" | |
|
83:14
|
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do! | |
|
83:15
|
كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ |
| Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. | |
|
83:16
|
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ |
| Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. | |
|
83:17
|
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false! | |
|
83:18
|
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ |
| Nay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin. | |
|
83:19
|
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ |
| And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? | |
|
83:20
|
كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ |
| (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed, | |
|
83:21
|
يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ |
| To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). | |
|
83:22
|
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ |
| Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: | |
|
83:23
|
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ |
| On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things): | |
|
83:24
|
تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ |
| Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss. | |
|
83:25
|
يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَحِيقٍ مَخْتُومٍ |
| Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed: | |
|
83:26
|
خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ |
| The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations: | |
|
83:27
|
وَمِزَاجُهُ مِنْ تَسْنِيمٍ |
| With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim: | |
|
83:28
|
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ |
| A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah. | |
|
83:29
|
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ |
| Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed, | |
|
83:30
|
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ |
| And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery); | |
