How a khatam plan works

A khatam is one full reading of the Quran, from Al-Fatihah to An-Nas. The Quran has 6,236 ayahs in 114 surahs and 30 juz, so any plan is just division: the ayahs you have left, shared over the days you have left.

This planner does that sum for you and keeps redoing it. If you miss a day it does not scold you. It shows the new daily amount that still finishes on your date, or lets you move the date.

Your progress moves two ways. Press Mark today done when you finish the portion, or just read in the Quran reader: when your last-read position passes the plan, the plan moves with you.

Tips that help plans last

  • Tie reading to a prayer. Many people read after Fajr or after Maghrib.
  • A small portion every day beats a large portion once a week.
  • Understanding matters: read the translation as you go.
